Take the wicker basket from the board by the door,

the hooded cloak from the locust peg and

go out into the mist and down the heath,

to the hedge,

with the village far below.

Gather thistle from the thicket

and ivy from the pine and the golden

enchantments left conspicuously behind

in the hedge

by the old ones of the woods . . .
